Digital Turbine Logia, which used to be known as Logia Mobile, was acquired by the publicly traded company Mandalay Digital Group in 2012. The company is known for its expertise in innovative, mobile monetization solutions for mobile operators and content providers around the world. These solutions include mobile device desktop management solutions, white label app and media stores, in-app payment solutions, app-based value added services as well as mobile social music and TV offerings.

Vodafone, Verizon, Turkcell, Telecom Italia, Singtel, Smart… Last year at the Mobile World Congress they closed a deal with Telefonica, and they are hoping for this year’s edition to go at least as well.

When we asked Mr. Peled about the future, he told us that Near Field Communications (NFC technologies) like Google Wallet, etc. and all types of mobile payments, and also Long-Term Evolution (4G) technologies are going to be the most important issues during this 2013.

Digital Turbine has three products to offer, oriented to big telecommunications companies mainly:

dt-igniteIgnite: Mobile operators don’t have a good way to control and personalize apps and media installed on their devices and there’s no easy way to change, remove or update them. But now mobile operators can control their applications and mobile desktop media to make sure they stay up-to date. Ignite is a smart and easy way to monetize mobile desktop space, allowing mobile operators and OEMs to personalize service pckages and application bundles easily, as they can manage, control, analyze, and monetize applications installed on smartphone devices.

dt-musicMusic: This is the only streaming solution which has been created thinking about the mobile operator, providing true value features to address the needs of content-oriented customers. It’s a streaming service built by an experienced team, based on proven technology. It enables users to increase the consumption of content and smartphone sales with unique features and an outstanding UI/UX. It’s available for web browsers, Android, iPhone, iPad, tablets and Smart TVs, and it’s also an end-to-end solution from mobile operators to the user and back.

dt-iqIQ: Is a multi-platform user experience and content management system, providing users with organized access to content and social networks, and with intuitive search capabilities. It provides mobile operators with an edge, for this innovative UI and IQ search hands you tools to keep your users brand focused. Digital Turbine IQ sits on top of the different OS. It delivers a redefined and personalized user experience and once you’ve learned your users’ mobile habits through their preferences, past downloads and search criteria, IQ suggests a new way to organize users’ apps, tools and search results. This gives the mobile operator the insight to promote additional specifically suited applications.
